Lamp base is 8 wide x 6.5 deep x 2 inches thick. Light is 38 inches tall. Wood base is made of musical grade figured Western Maple from Oregon. Black on wood base is created using Japanese Shou-sugi-ban burning technique. Structure of light is made with brass tubing and jeweler’s brass sheet. Lamp diffusion is made up of two parts: 4 paper panels of Uda-gami Japanese paper and 2 fabric panels of a rare hand loomed Pineapple/Silk Fiber from the Philippines. The fabric panels are sewn with kimono silk thread and dyed with Madder, Tannin, Iron, Indigo, Weld, Avocado Pit, and Gallo Tanin extracts.
